TWO Herefordshire friends will cycle the length of Britain to raise money for children with cerebral palsy.

Peter Hicks and John Langley will cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats in aid of Megan Baker House in Leominster.

They will cycle more than 1,000 miles in June and hope to raise more than £3,000.

Mr Langley was inspired to get on his bike by his son who said he wasn’t fit enough to ride it. “Well, I am fast approaching 50 and being almost two stone overweight, I could see his point,” he explained. “But I wasn’t going to back down from that challenge.” Mr Hicks was inspired by his daughter, Chloe, who studied at the Peto Institute and now works at Megan Baker House.

“It is an amazing centre and the aim is to give the children the tools to live as independent a life as possible,” he said.

“Please dig deep to support this fantastic cause and make the blood, sweat and tears worth it.” For information please visit meganbakerhouse.org.uk or call Peter Hicks on 07970706161.
