PUPILS from a Ross primary school took in the sights and sounds of their town as part of a school project.
The lower infant class at St Joseph’s RC primary school took a tour around Ross looking out for road signs, street names, door numbers and other street furniture before stopping at the shops.
They visited Andy Callwood’s butchers shop, where they sampled freshly made warm sausage rolls before moving onto Stokes fruit and vegetable shop.
The trip ended with a visit to the town library where they were read a story.
Back at school, the children made road signs and shop fronts using a range of craft materials, and became town planners creating their dream city using the interactive whiteboard.
