A LADIES golf team has raised more than £2,800 for life-limited children.
The Grove Ladies organised a ladies charity tournament at The Grove, near Leominster, with all proceeds going to Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Teams from across Herefordshire, Shropshire and beyond competed and even took part in an auction on the evening, overseen by club professional Peter Lowery.
“We aimed to raise £2,000, so we are really pleased that our club has been such a help to Acorns Children’s Hospice,” said Mr Lowery.
Ladies captain Brenda Dempsey said: “The support that Grove Ladies members have given to children who most need our help speaks volumes about the spirit of the club, and its members. This is an effort that will never be forgotten.”
