CAP - Friends of Eardisley CAP has been organised to help support the work of the Eardisley group. To become a friend, a fee of £20 is charged. Money raised will help to provide a range of facilities at the drop-in centre situated in the centre of the village. There is high-speed broadband, audio and video recording and editing equipment together with a wide range of other facilities, plus friendly and helpful advice. Tickets will be available at Central Stores at the end of May. TEA AND CHAT - Come to the Methodist Chapel on Thursday, May 29, and enjoy a pleasant afternoon with tea and a chat. ROYAL BRITISH LEGION - The Eardisley branch held its annual coffee morning and sale in the village hall and raised the excellent sum of £415 for Legion funds. SOCIAL WHIST DRIVE - MC Mr Phillip Jenkins welcomed players to the monthly whist drive held in the New Strand on Monday, May 19. He presented prizes to Muriel Fenton, Molly Thomas, Dorothy Davies, Sue Holdaway, Gwen Thomas and Di Jenkins. The next whist drive will revert to being on the last Monday in the month, which will be June 30. Play starts at 7.45pm.
