BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND - Pam Pugh and friends are putting teas on in St Bridget’s Church, Skenfrith, over the bank holiday weekend. The aim is to raise money for the organ fund. The organ needs a complete overhaul. Come to the beautiful village of Skenfrith, have a look at this ancient and peaceful church, and help with the restoration of the organ by having a cup of tea and a homemade cake.
STALL FOR HOSPICE - Rachael Veness is hoping, weather permitting, to have a stall in the village at the weekend to raise money for St Anne’s Hospice. Please come along and give her some support for an excellent cause.
FUN DAY WALK - The fun day walk took place last Sunday, starting from outside the community shop. There appeared to be almost as many dogs walking as people! The walk took about two to three hours. It was a lovely afternoon, and when the walkers returned, a barbecue was awaiting them at the back of the hall in the garden. Hot dogs and beefburgers were free to all the walkers.
