FLOWER FESTIVAL - From Saturday to Monday inclusive St Dubricius, Whitchurch, presents a bountiful flower display representing the 16 decades of historic events that have taken place during the long and enviable period the school has been educating the children of thousands of local families. “Any colour as long as it’s black,” Henry Ford famously said of the model T Ford, claimed to be the world’s first mass-produced car. This is just one of the displays in this trawl through history, which covers the suffragette movement, the introduction of the penny-farthing and fashions galore. The festival is open from 11am to 5pm daily and teas will be served on the Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. Entry is free!
