WACKY WALKERS - On Bank Holiday Monday, we will walk the Sugar Loaf mountain at Abergavenny. Meet at 10.45am with a packed lunch for a picnic at the summit. Take the A465 Hereford to Abergavenny road and turn off at signpost ‘Abergavenny – Town centre only’ and pass through Mardy. Then turn right at the traffic lights to the A40 Brecon. Carry on over roundabout passing Nevill Hall Hospital until the end of the speed limit restriction signs. Immediately after this, at the crossroad sign, turn right into Pentre Road, then turn left at the sign for the visitor centre and left again passing the Sugar Loaf vineyard, over the cattle grid following the road to the right to the car park.
