CIDER AND BLOSSOM FESTIVAL - The 2008 Bosbury Cider and Blossom Festival was held on Saturday, May 10, in glorious sunshine which ensured a capacity crowd of over 400 people. The festival was officially opened by Mary Bennett, Nat Hone thanked the community for their fundraising efforts and the various grant-making bodies for their support. Salome Jefferson was crowned May Queen and Holly Clayton and Freya Jones, her two princesses. The delicious cream teas and homemade cakes were very popular and Jenny Rees and Janet Biddulph would like to thank all the village bakers. The well organised duck races down the River Leadon completed a lovely family day. The festival raised over £3,000 to be shared between the village school, church and parish hall.
