Rachael launched the site in February after growing tired of searching countless web pages for information.
“All the information is in the public domain but you have to go from website to website to get it,” she said.
“So I went out and bought some computer software earlier this year and put it all in one place.
“I think it is the first website of its kind in Herefordshire. There is no other website dedicated to children from birth to school age.” As the mother of four-year-old George and two-year-old Isobel, and a helper at her local nursery, Rachael is well placed to gather both information for the website and feedback from it.
“It’s only just getting known, but the people I have spoken to say it’s a really good idea.” Rachael’s latest idea for the site is to add a Question of the Month feature, where users are invited to discuss the big issues of the moment.
She is also planning to start charging a nominal fee for nurseries or companies to advertise, although she admits “this will never make me a millionaire”.
