STAFF and pupils from Fairfield High School walked more than 15 miles for an annual fundraiser on Saturday, May 17, following a visit from Longtown Mountain Rescue Team.
Team member and former teacher Tom Rolfe visited the school last week to show students some of the equipment used during rescues and to explain how the Black Mountains Challenge, which sees around 800 people walking as far as 43km, provides vital yearly running costs for the team to continue.
