Staff and pupils at Fairfield High School walked more than 15 miles for an annual fundraiser following a visit from Longtown Mountain Rescue.
Team member and former teacher Tom Rolfe visited pupils last week to show them some of the equipment used in rescues and to explain how the Black Mountains Challenge, which see 800 people walking as far as 43km, provides vital yearly running costs for the team to continue.
