A MAN has been airlifted to hospital following a motorcycle accident north of Leominster yesterday.
The 36-year-old suffered a broken right thumb and had fractures to his left arm after coming off his bike along the B4361 near Bircher.
The ambulance service was called just after 12.30pm and found the man a significant distance from his bike.
Ambulance service press officer Murray McGregor said the motorcyclist was airlifted to Birmingham's Selly Oak hospital for surgery.
He added there were no other vehicles involved.
