WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK – Clehonger School pupils celebrated walk to school week with a difference. A group of 23 parents and children walked home from school across the beautiful countryside to Belmont. The 2.5-mile route, all on public footpaths, took them through an orchard, a farm and fields of crops, then down a green lane, past a pond and next to a stream. The children loved running free with their friends, but stopped as requested at each stile to let the adults catch up!

PRE-SCHOOL – Pre-School welcomed Dave Rowley CSO from Peterchurch, who came to talk to the children about road safety and stranger danger. He also gave the children the opportunity to sit in the police car and turn the siren on. This was followed by a visit to Peterchurch Fire station, where the children were invited aboard the fire engine, and then all the children were given the opportunity to have a go with the hose. All the children were then given a goodie bag by Kevin Giles. Thanks go to Kevin for the tour.
