CONCERT – The 12th century church of St David’s Colva hosted an incredibly successful concert on the evening of May 17. More than 80 people turned up to see Sonia Hammond and Kirsten Hellier, who entertained royally with pieces by Bach, Bartok and Kodály. For the most part, the ladies played as a duo, while Sonia on her cello performed solo in one of the Bach pieces, and Kirsten on her violin during the Kodaly. After the concert, wine and delicious light refreshments were provided by members of the Colva PCC. The evening raised £500 for the Friends of Colva Church, which will go towards repairs and restorations.
