CONCERT – The East Radnor Day Centre is having a concert featuring The Ithon Singers and supported by Ken, Mike and John, The Two Gareths, Yvonne Mills and others at the memorial hall on Saturday, June 14, at 7pm for 7.30pm. GARDENING CLUB – Lingen Gardening Club is having a gardening visit to Lawton Hall Herbs in Leominster on Tuesday at 7pm. Members will be accompanied for a walk by Alexandra Fox.

FATHER’S DAY PARTY – There is a Father’s Day party weekend at the Radnorshire Arms on Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15. On Saturday, there will be fun for all the family in the garden featuring children’s entertainer Looby Lou, barbecue and disco with special beer prices. MEET THE TREES – There is an opportunity to meet the trees at the Rodd Wood, just outside Presteigne on June 7, from 10am to 2.30pm. Children from aged eight upwards accompanied by an adult costs £1. Come and put on a tree hat, explore the wood and find out how a tree works. There are limited spaces, so booking is essential by calling Jenny Stevens on 260460, feel free to bring a picnic.

TOWN COUNCIL – The next meeting of Presteigne and Norton town council is on Tuesday, June 17, at the shire hall at 7.30pm. The public are cordially invited to attend.

KNILL GARDENS – The Gardens at Knill will be open to the public on Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15, from 2pm to 6pm daily. Come and take a summer riverside walk. There will be music in the garden from The Halcyon singers on Sunday from 3pm. Admission is £3 for adults and free for children. Cream teas will be available.

VINTAGE SHOW – The annual vintage car and motorcycle show is on Sunday, June 18, at Wentes Meadow from 10.30am to 4.30pm. There will be a car boot, autojumble, model engines, refreshments plus much more. Admission is £3 for adults.

CAMEO – The next meeting is on Wednesday in St Andrews Hall at 2.30pm. This month, Roger Pickard will be doing a presentation on astronomy. Visitors are welcome for £2 which include refreshments. For details, call 267245.

GARDEN PARTY – A garden party will be held on Saturday in the garden of 1, Clatterbrune, near Presteigne Bowling Club. Starting at 11am, there will be cakes, books, and toys on sale, as well as a raffle and games. Homemade light lunches, teas and coffees will be served. All proceeds will be for the Presteigne and Borders Floral Art Society funds, from which an annual donation is made to a local charity. All are welcome and entrance is free.
