A DRIVER has been airlifted to hospital after a van overturned on a county road.
Emergency services were called to the B4214 between Castle Frome and Bosbury at 4.15pm yesterday.
Ambulance press officer John Hawker said the van had overturned on a series of bends and had ended up sitting on the driver’s side.
“There were three men in the vehicle,” he said.
“Two who were estimated to be in their late teens had managed to get out of the vehicle and were unhurt.
“They were checked over at the scene and transferred to Hereford County Hospital as a precaution.
“The driver, a man estimated to be in his mid 20s, was trapped for a considerable period. He was complaining of neck and back injuries.
“The doctor requested a helicopter be sent and the County Air Ambulance from Cosford was sent to the scene.
“It airlifted the man to Hereford County Hospital where medics were on standby for his arrival.”
