A LORRY caught fire in Hereford in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews from Fownhope, Ewyas Harold and Hereford were called to the Merton Meadow car park, Blackfriars Street, at 12.55am.
A loud bang was heard in parts of the city, which is thought to have been the lorry's diesel tank exploding.
Officers used hose reel jets to put out the fire in just under two hours, and removed bags of clothing from the back of the lorry.
