A HEREFORDSHIRE village has been working hard to avoid a repeat of last summer’s flooding.
The Bodenham Flood Prevention Group, formed after 40 homes in the area were flooded last year, have been filling and stockpiling sandbags, patrolling problem areas and working with various authorities to identify potential improvements to flood defences.
Members recently gathered to clear a culvert which runs through Bodenham and overflowed last year.
Stones, concrete slabs and even a 30 mph road sign, which has not been seen above ground for around five years, were recovered.
