A DISQUALIFIED driver who topped speeds of up to 125mph through rural Herefordshire rolled his car, killing a close friend.
Relatives from both families were in Worcester Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday) to hear Andrew Watkins, aged 21, of Elmdale, Ewyas Harold, admit causing the death of 20-year-old Luke Godsall by dangerous driving in November last year.
He was jailed for five years.
Through his solicitor, Watkins told the court that he did not want to offer a sob story insulting his friend’s family and said: “I killed Luke, that’s the bottom line and I must pay for it.”
