EWYAS HAROLD WALKERS – The walk tomorrow (Friday) will be about five miles along the Llanfoist Canal and the Blorenge.
PRIMARY SCHOOL – Year 6 is having a ‘taster day’ to Kingstone High School tomorrow (Friday) and to Fairfield High School next Tuesday. The PFTA summer fete is on Saturday, from 3pm. Next Tuesday, the Museum on the Move explores climate change.
FOOTPRINTS – The Friday walking group continues tomorrow at 10am from outside the chip shop in the centre of the village. The walk is approximately one to two miles of easy walking so please wear suitable shoes. Anyone can join, the walks are free and for all ages.
COFFEE MORNING – The coffee morning in aid of St Devereux and Wormbridge churches will be held in Kilpeck Hall on Saturday from 10am to noon.
WALK WITH POEMS – At Cwm Brook Rowlstone with teas at the village hall on Sunday from 5.30pm.
BENEFICE PRAYER GROUP – The next meeting will be at the rectory next Tuesday, at noon. All are welcome and the meetings last about 45 minutes.
MIDSUMMER MUSIC – St Michael’s Church, Ewyas Harold, is presenting an evening of light music and entertainment in the memorial hall on Friday, June 20, at 7.30pm. The programme is being arranged by Roger Tomlinson, a trombone player and retired director of music of the Band of the Blues and Royals. With the help of musical friends and local talent, the evening will be a celebration of all that we love about our typical English summers – the warmth, the sunshine, the holidays, the romance – and the rain. The cost of tickets is £7 per person which includes a light supper during the interval. Tickets are available from Mailes Butchers or Roger Tomlinson on 01981 240165.
