MEDIEVAL MIDSUMMER FAIR – The fair is being staged by the Village Alive Trust on Saturday, June 21, at Great Trerhew Farm, from 2pm. Visitors will get the chance to see the charity’s latest conservation project. The centrepiece of the original farmstead, a listed corn barn, is being re-roofed by the Village Alive Trust in partnership with Cadw and the farm’s owners, Trevor and Anne Beavan. Attractions will include a medieval encampment, and a mock battle by Teulu. Children from Cross Ash School will demonstrate maypole dancing during the afternoon. There will be sheep shearing, weaving and archery. Great Trerhew is situated alongside the B4521 Abergavenny to Skenfrith Road. Further details from villagealivetrust.org.uk.
