COFFEE MORNING – Tomorrow (Friday) there is the monthly Lyonshall coffee morning between 10am and noon in the Lyonshall Memorial Hall. This is a great chance to meet old friends and to make new ones, enjoy local company and homebaked cakes, a raffle and local preserves and produce. KINGTON FESTIVAL – All the events that make up the Kington Festival, which takes place between Friday, June 13, and Sunday, June 22, are listed on lyonshall.net – there is something for all tastes during these busy 10 days.

TITLEY MILL – This weekend, Christopher Good opens the gardens at Titley Mill from 2pm to 6pm in aid of the Theatrical Guild, which does so much for backstage and front-of-house staff who are stricken with illness or unable to continue working through ill-health. Refreshments will be served by stars of stage and screen and there will be plants for sale. Dogs are not allowed. Entrance fee will be £4.

CHURCH EVENTS – On Sunday, there will be no service at St Michael and All Angels Church. Elsewhere in the Arrow Vale group of parishes there is an 8.30am Holy Communion (prayer book) service at Moorcourt, or at 9.30am, a family service in Byton. At 11am there is a family service at Shobdon and a Holy Communion (prayer book) service at Staunton.

BAPTIST SERVICE – On Sunday, there is a Baptist service in the Lyonshall Memorial Hall starting at 9.30am.

CHURCH SPRING CLEAN – Next Monday from 10am, the church of St Michael and All Angels will be getting its annual spring clean. Please feel free to come and help if you can.
