THE chairman of the Whitecross TWG, Mary Halls, welcomed members to the June meeting.
An amazing display of handicrafts, clothes and toys made by the arts and crafts group were on show and were donated to the charity Hope Carriers Trust, founded by the guest speaker, Arthur Etheridge, when he visited Romania and was horrified by the dreadful conditions the families endured.
There will be a coffee morning next Tuesday, held at 5 Cotswold Drive, starting at 10.30am, and a visit to Arrow Cottage Garden at Ledgemoor on Thursday, June 19. A visit has been arranged to visit the Black Country Museum on August 20. the raffle was won by Edna Benson and the competition by Marie Nicholas.
