A SPECIAL event showcasing how businesses can protect themselves against crime has been held at the Rotherwas Industrial Estate.
One of the key methods was SmartWater technology - a forensic marking system protecting premises and providing a strong deterrent to criminals.
It consists of a special coding system with a unique DNA-style code. The solution is colourless to the naked eye but visible under ultraviolet light allowing stolen property to be matched to the place it was taken from.
The event was organised by the Hereford Rural South Local Policing Team with the help of the South Wye Regeneration Partnership, Herefordshire Council and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
