HEREFORD soldiers are taking part in their first public duties parade at Buckingham Palace today.
The second Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers will mount the Buckingham Palace guard in front of more than 15,000 spectators.
This is the first time the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers have guarded the Queen since 1975.
Many of the soldiers taking part served in Afghanistan and Iraq last year.
The regiment moved to London from Cyprus in March and are now based in Hounslow.
