Hi One and All...

Just a short couple of lines to say about my training in preperation for an assault at what hopefully will be a World Record.

To any new readers I am considering having a crack at the One Minute Push-Up record with a 44lb bergen (Backpack)...

So far my training has been going according to plan, and 'touch wood' I am in damn good shape and have suffered no injuries or illnesses at all.

I am planning to have a video of me in training for this gruelling record attempt, I recently done 30 Push-Ups with 62lbs in the bergen plus a 5 year old who weighs 4 stone sat on top so overall I must have had about 120lbs on the back at the time..., not the best training plan but one special gift I have is the mental toughness gained from my time in British Airborne Forces, basically blocking out the pain, so on the day 44lbs on the day should be a breeze..

I'll keep you all informed as and when I will decide to contact Guinness World Records, and in the meantime to all those over 40's out there, take a leaf out of my book and don't let age defeat you, you are as young as you feel!!!! Ged
