THE life of Herefordshire’s adopted war heroine will be remembered at a county museum’s eighth annual gathering.
The Violette Szabo Museum, at Cartref House, Wormelow, will host the gathering on Saturday, starting at 2pm.
Jean-Pierre Barrault, the brother of Second World War secret agent Denise Bloch, will be the guest speaker while Virginia McKenna, who starred as Violette Szabo in Carve Her Name with Pride, will help to mark the 50th anniversary of the film’s release.
