HEREFORDSHIRE firefighters are today receiving expert training from life saving experts.

The firefighters will be trained by members of Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) where they will face a realistic recreation of a road traffic accident.

The training will be given by Dr Malcolm Russell and Dr David Houston and the event is supported by Prometheus Medical Ltd, a local medical company based in Hope-under-Dinmore.

Prometheus also holds a number of fundraising days each year to raise money for their appointed charity, MARS, and is currently organising a charity golf day at Belmont in August in the hope of raising £10,000.
