CIDER giant Bulmers should learn today how hefty a fine it faces over the 2003 Legionnaire’s disease outbreak in Hereford.
In September last year, Bulmers and its water treatment specialists Nalco admitted health and safety charges relating to the outbreak.
Worcester Crown Court heard that each company accepted “putting the health of the Hereford public at risk” by not properly maintaining cooling towers at the Moorfields cider plant.
The sentencing hearing is set for Hereford Crown Court, both firms face massive fines.
