FIVE cars were seized and two men were arrested last week in a bid to cut crime on border roads.
Officers from West Mercia Police joined their Welsh counterparts in Operation Ohio.
More than a dozen patrol cars took part in the three-day operation, resulting in several arrests on the A40 near Ross-on- Wye.
Five uninsured cars were seized and two drivers were found over the drink-drive limit, while others were ticketed for speeding.
Two men from Ledbury were also arrested on suspicion of stealing a bus from a Herefordshire farm.
Insp Jim McLaughlin, section commander for South Herefordshire, called the operation a “successful initiative”.
