TILLINGTON STROLLERS – The previous ‘stroll’ through Wellington was a great success, and will be followed by a walk in Bodenham, meeting in the car park by Bodenham school at 10am, on Thursday, July 10.
PARISH COUNCIL – The availability of around 50 sandbags, for parishioners in the event of flooding, has been confirmed and they are available on request from parish council chairperson Mary Reynolds (01432 761068) or parish clerk Amanda Smith (01568 797747).
Registration to the parish website, burghill.org.uk, has been extended to the whole of Herefordshire. The council has also been considering the possibility of warning signs for ponds located within the parish, and is considering erecting a fence at Bird Pool, opposite Tillington Village Stores.
The council has also been thinking about planting a tree in memory of the late Anthony Choppen at this site. The next meeting of the parish council will take place next Wednesday.
CROCODILE 8 – Following this year’s annual event, when £2,200 was raised, Burghill School PTFA has extended thanks to the dedicated team who organised it. Thanks were also given to the Bell Inn, Tillington, for hosting the post-race entertainment, as well as those who helped on the day, those who helped prepare the course and donated refreshments, and everyone else who ensured that the event was, once again, a resounding success.
