IT’s the summer holidays, when time is one thing you have plenty of, so why not get up early, check the weather and head for a bucket-and-spade day at Barry Island.
A shade over 70 miles away, and around an hour-and-a-half’s drive, Barry Island’s activities are centred around sandy Whitmore Bay, a Blue Flag beach, and the Pleasure Park, with more than 50 rides, and gardens and a prom between the two. You’ll find attractions, amusements, gift shops and places to eat and drink. £
