WHEN you take children of any age to Herefordshire Raceway it won’t be long before they’re demonstrating an insatiable need for speed and a wide competitive streak.
“Awesome ... amazing ... fantastic!” are common responses to children’s first taste of go-karting.
Instruction is provided, as well as top quality helmets, overalls and gloves for all drivers, as well as waterproofs in the event of bad weather.
During the holidays, aspiring Lewis Hamiltons and complete beginners alike can join the raceway’s summer school.
The school, open to children aged from eight to16, will consist of four consecutive days, starting at 10am and lasting for two hours. Drivers will be taught all the basics of karting followed by continuous assessment to improve their racecraft. The final day will be a race event.
Courses will be limited to nine children and run throughout August. Courses cost £100 for the week. Call 01544 for more details or to book your place on the grid.
