CHECK out museums – there’s plenty to look at and think about.
At Hereford Museum and Art Gallery, there’s a fabulous exhibition of antique quilts, and at Market House Heritage Centre in Ross, there are hands-on exhibits for younger visitors to explore.
Special events taking place during the summer holidays include a workshop where you can make your own creative piece of patchwork using teabags, buttons, feathers, fabrics and papers in Green Eyed Monster-style at Ross Heritage Centre on August 12.
At the Museum Resource and Learning Centre in Hereford on August 5, the Green Eyed Monster company are running a Stick Around! workshop when children can turn a clay blob and a few bits of straw into an Iron Age house.
Activities on both dates and in both venues start at 10am and 11.15am. For further details, call 01432 260692.
