GIVE the family a day to remember with a trip to Cardiff Bay, where you’ll find plenty of entertainment.
Doctor Who fans will be thrilled to visit the Doctor Who Up Close exhibition at the Red Dragon Centre. Named the number one attraction in Cardiff, the exhibition features props, costumes and monsters from the new series.
You’ll see the Tardis, Daleks, a Cyberman and other classic creatures.
The exhibition also includes an exclusive display showing where the series was filmed in Cardiff and explanatory graphics highlighting the production’s involvement in and around the city.
A short walk away you’ll find Techniquest, where there are hours of hands-on science fun to be had – fire a rocket; test your reaction times; race an electric car; launch a hot air balloon, and, during the summer holidays, take a closer look in the Planetarium at what Mars has to offer.
The Doctor Who Up Close Exhibition Cardiff is open every day from 10.30am to 7.30pm.
Techniquest: school holiday weekdays, 9.30am to 5pm; weekends and Bank Holidays, 10.30am to 5pm. Last admission: 45 minutes before closing.
