Expanding accountancy and business advisory firm Baker Tilly has announced a double boost to its 80-strong Hereford office with the relocation of a highly experienced business services partner to Elgar House as well as a major office refurbishment.
Malcolm Garner arrives from the firm’s high profile Birmingham office.
A top level partner and strong strategic thinker, Malcolm will be responsible for building up the profile of the Hereford office as well as helping clients expand their own businesses using the Baker Tilly growth programme.
His is the firm’s second senior relocation to Hereford in recent months, following the arrival of tax partner Claire Willetts, also from the Birmingham office.
A corporate taxation specialist, Claire joined Baker Tilly in 2003 and has a wealth of experience working as a chartered accountant in the Midlands.
The firm says that the growth of the Hereford office has been underpinned not only by investment in senior personnel but also in the building itself, with a significant six- figure investment on a new office layout, reception area and meeting rooms. IT facilities have been enhanced and conference facilities have been upgraded to a state-of-the-art level in the office.
Baker Tilly’s Hereford managing partner Allan Davies said: “We are the leading accountancy and business advisory firm in the region and we will continue to build on this strength. “We have the expertise as well as the environment to offer our clients essential advice, covering any aspect of their business, tax or personal accountancy requirements.
“We are pleased to welcome Malcolm to the Hereford office and I know that his skills and experience will be a particular asset to us here. I fully expect our clients to benefit greatly from his expertise.”
