HARVEST FESTIVAL – There is a Harvest Festival service led by Mr Les Beers at 11am in the Methodist Church this Sunday. All are most welcome.
COFFEE MORNING – There is a coffee morning in aid of the Macmillan nurses on Friday, September 26, at Radnor Valley Primary School from 9.30am to 11.30am. There will be cakes, plants, produce and bric-a-brac stalls as well as a raffle. Please support this worthy cause.
PILATES COURSES – There is a course of pilates classes from October 6 until November 5. The beginners’ class is on Tuesdays from 1pm to 2.30pm with the improvers’ class from 6.30pm to 8pm, also on Tuesdays, both at St Andrew’s Church Hall, then at the Assembly Rooms on Saturday mornings from 10am to 11.30am. FILM SOCIETY – Presteigne Film Society is showing Persepolls (12A) this Friday evening at the Assembly Rooms at 7.30pm. Admission is £4 for adults and £2 for students. TALK – David Wheeler will be giving a 45-minute talk entitled ‘A funny thing happened on my way to the potting shed’ at St Andrew’s Church Hall next Wednesday at 3pm. Tickets are £5 on the door. All proceeds will go to St Michael’s Church in Discoed.
HARVEST WEEKEND – The Baptist Church is having a harvest weekend. On Friday, September 26, there is a harvest supper at the Memorial Hall at 7pm. Tickets are £5 and are available from members or by calling 267960. Then on Sunday, September 28, there are harvest services in the Baptist Church at 11am and 7pm. Everyone is most welcome.
Preston-on-Wye COFFEE MORNING – In aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, Doris Edwards will be hosting a coffee morning at Preston-on-Wye Village Hall on Friday, September 26, from 10:30am to noon. Bring-and-buy stall and raffle.
COWPATS (PRESTON’S COMMUNITY ACCESS POINT) – This is open every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm and Saturdays from 9:30am to noon at Preston Village Hall. Free broadband access available. We will be hosting a Microsoft Publisher night on Wednesday, November 12, from 7pm to 9pm. This will be a free session.
