THERE was a big send off at a Leominster care home for a team leader who can put her feet up after more than a quarter of a century.
Vicky Jones, who lives in Osborne Place, has called it a day after 27 years working at Waverley House in Etnam Street.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my job. I have met such a lot of characters – there are some delightful old people there. I've enjoyed working with the staff as well,” said Mrs Jones.
“We have had a few laughs and also a few tears with some of them that have gone, and that is staff as well as residents.”
Mrs Jones plans to take it easy for the foreseeable future but may be tempted back to the home to help out occasionally.
