A HEREFORDSHIRE councillor has expressed his concern at the length of time an ambulance took to attend an elderly patient suffering from a hip injury.
Coun Sebastian Bowen has questioned the amount of time it took an ambulance crew to attend the woman in Millbrook Way, Orleton.
Coun Bowen said: "A paramedic was there in under eight minutes but she was still lying in her driveway for an hour. I thought this was unacceptable."
"If we have deficancies we must address them."
But West Midlands Ambulance Service says they responded within the time limit to the category C call on Monday (September 22).
Press officer Claire Thomas said the call was taken at 12.25pm. The paramedic was on scene at 12.38pm and administered pain relief.
It was then the paramedic requested an ambulance crew at 12.55pm which arrived at 1.29pm.
The patient was taken to hospital for further treatment.
