HEREFORDSHIRE Council is asking the county how its mobile library service can be improved.
New routes and vehicles were put in place last summer and a public consultation will find out how well they have been working.
A review will then look at the service as a whole, how it is best delivered, the length and frequency of stops and how it can change for the future.
Opportunities for working in partnership with other services will also be examined, as will ways to increase the number of housebound customers.
Ten public meetings are being held so people can express their views. Anyone who cannot attend can contribute by filling in a comment card at any library in the county.
Parish councils will also have comment cards available.
There also is a “have your say”
section at herefordshire.
gov.uk or residents can call 01432 260557.
The consultation period runs until October 31 and everyone who takes part will be informed of the results of the review.
The meetings all run from 7pm to 9pm. The dates are today (Thursday), Wigmore Village Hall; September 29, Ewyas Harold Memorial Hall; September 30, Whitchurch Village Hall; October 1, Pembridge Village Hall; October 2, Cradley Village Hall; October 3, Marden Community Centre; October 6, Brockhampton (HR1) Parish Hall and October 7, Golden Valley Community Centre, Peterchurch.
