FOUR men are due to be sentenced for a violent attack on a motorist as he was driving through Hereford city centre.
Kamal Kaul was beaten up after he stopped his Vauxhall at traffic lights.
Derrick Wall, aged 24, of St James Road, Hereford, pleaded guilty, on the day he was due to face trial by jury, to assault causing actual bodily harm.
He denied racially aggravated assault and the case was not pursued after prosecutor Delroy Henry accepted he was not the man who hurled verbal abuse at Mr Kaul.
Three other co-defendants have pleaded guilty to charges relating to the same incident on December 21 last year, Worcester Crown Court heard.
All four defendants will be sentenced in the week commencing October 20.
