TOBY Parker has packed a lot of music into his 21 years. While he was at Hereford Sixth Form College, he was lead singer of the Myth – the popular Hereford rock band created at Fairfield School.
During his time at LIPA, the Liverpool Music Academy established by Paul McCartney, Toby’s Johnny Cash cover band played at Mahiki, the famous London club patronised by Royalty.
Now he is off to take up his place won at the flagship academy for contemporary music in London – BANM (British Academy for New Music).
During his first term there, he has to fit in a gig at another iconic London club, Annabel’s, on October 13 at a testimonial dinner for the English fast bowler Matthew Hoggard.
“It’s a bit daunting because, as far as I know, the last person to play music live there was Eric Clapton,” says Toby.
