A CAR is being traced after an attempted robbery in Marden on Wednesday evening.
Police are anxious to trace the occupants of a gold Ford Focus believed to be involved in the incident at 6pm.
Peter Butcher, police press officer, said an 18-year old man was riding his moped along the C1124 Moreton to Marden road when he stopped to assist people he thought had broken down at the side of the road.
He said there were two males beside the car who allegedly demanded cigarettes and the keys to his moped before assaulting him.
Mr Butcher added that the victim walked away and the two men threw his moped into the ditch.
The police believed a female was also present in the Ford Focus which was decorated with large 'Cactus Kid' posters.
The car was seen in Hereford city centre late on Wednesday afternoon.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the car. Anyone with information can contact DC Pete Bradbury of Hereford CID on 08457 444888 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
