SUNSHINE broke through the mist and clouds this morning as a north Herefordshire ploughing match got under way.

The match, organised by the Weobley and District Agricultural Improvement Society, was taking place at New Court, Brobury, near Bredwardine, and was the society’s 101st annual event.

With other matches around the county falling victim to bad weather over the past few weeks, the Weobley event attracted a number of late entries for the ploughing catergories and domestic section. Sheep dog trials also kept visitors entertained.
