THOUSANDS of homes across Hereford have been hit by a power cut.
Nearly 4,000 premises around the city were left in the dark following the blackout at 1.10pm this afternoon (Monday).
Engineers from Central Networks restored power to 1,770 homes by 1.35pm, while the remainder were without power until 2.45pm.
Rebecca Mara, spokesperson for the company, blamed a disconnected overhead power cable at Saxon Court, Bullingham Lane, for the cuts.
