TRADERS in Ross have welcomed the flexibility of a new Local Development Framework, which will offer future sites for both businesses and housing.
Councillor John Jarvis, Herefordshire Council’s cabinet member for the environment and strategic housing, met members of Ross Chamber of Commerce to hear their views.
Coun Jarvis said: “Traders felt the tightness of the existing Unitary Development Plan (UDP) was not helping them to find building sites for business or housing.
“They were supportive of the consultation carried out to develop our Local Development Framework, which will replace the UDP.
“Traders said the new document would offer them far more flexibility in finding suitable sites to attract businesses into the town.”
