A MYSTERY caller who went to Leominster Police with information about a missing boy found the station to be closed.
The man went to the Enterprise Way station with information on Andrew Gosden, who disappeared from the south Yorkshire area on September 14, 2007, aged 14.
When the man arrived, the station was closed so he contacted HQ on the external phone, but by the time an officer returned he had left.
The man has since written anonymously to the BBC, which recently featured the case on its One Show programme, giving details of a possible sighting of the youngster in Shrewsbury last month.
South Yorkshire Police are now liaising with colleagues in Shropshire to follow up the possible lead.
