EASTER – On Good Friday (tomorrow) worshippers will be joined by the procession which has been following the cross during Holy Week from Winforton, Whitney, Brilley Michaelchurch, Bollingham and Almeley. The service starts at 3pm. At 8pm, there will be a service to commemorate the burial of Jesus.
LUNCH – Tickets are on sale at the village shop for the lunch to be held in the village hall on Sunday, April 19. Guests are asked to bring their own drinks. Lunches are also planned for June 14, September 27, and December 13. By taking part in these events, guests are helping to support the running cost of the village hall, which is an important amenity in the village.
DIARY DATE: SAVE THE CHILDREN – Once again Heather Love is holding a tea-potty party at her home, Camilla Cottage. This will be on Friday, May 1, from 2.30pm. Further details about the fund and the event will be published nearer the day.
SOCIAL WHIST DRIVE – A well-attended whist drive was held at the New Strand on Monday, March 30. MC Phillip Jenkins presented prizes to May Thomas, Margaret Kerrigan, Marge Drew, Bryn Thomas, Margery Phillips and Rona Jenkins. The next one will be on Monday, April 27. Play begins at 7.45pm.
