GARWAY HERITAGE GROUP MEETING – The group’s annual meeting will be followed by the showing of a DVD entitled Fieldwork, featuring farming life and customs through the 1940s, 50s and 60s in the Bromyard and Eardisley area. What was it like when apples were picked by hand, when hedgerows were full of birds and when children got time off school to work on the land? Produced in 2008 by Rural Media in association with local history societies, this DVD will be introduced by Hilary Smallwood and Marsha O’Mahone, who worked on the project. Come and join us at an open meeting of the Garway Heritage Group on Tuesday at 7.30pm in Garway Village Hall. Entrance £2 for non-members. This meeting will also give information on speakers for future meetings and on GHG visits and activities.
