THE SCHWESING CHOIR – In 2008, members of the local choir Village Voices enjoyed a visit to the village of Schwesing, near Husum in Germany. They were guests of the Schwesing Church Choir and were made very welcome. This year, from April 16-19, 28 members of the Schwesing Choir will be in Stoke Lacy as Village Voices return their hospitality. There will be a number of activities, including a joint concert in Stoke Lacy Church on Friday April 17, at 6.30pm.
Admission will be free and light refreshments will be served. It is hoped the church will be full for this rather special occasion.
There will be a non-eucharistic service led by the Rev Fran Binding in Stoke Lacy Church at 9.30am on Sunday April 19, with coffee afterwards before the visitors leave for the airport. Everyone is welcome.
